I'd like to recommend EnergyGate and Fred. Fred was the only solar installer interested in doing a site visit.
I have two rooftops that were suitable but I wasn't sure how they all could be connected.
Fred came up with a plan of 9.5kW of PV and a GoodWe 15kW ESA all in one with initially 32kW of storage in my garage which is next to my switchboard. Fred Installed
a GoodWe 8kW grid tie inverter with 9kW of PV on my carport. This inverter has been AC coupled with the all in one. This system was installed in September 2026 and is located in South East Queensland.
The energy input into my batteries and grid has been pretty amazing and I soon relised that I could easily charge up to 50kW of Batteries. I talked to Fred and he arranged for these to be installed a couple of weeks later.
The SEMS plus app is easy to use.
Fred was easy to communicate with and the system install went smoothly. We are very happy with the final result.

Expert advice and flawless execution by Energy GateChoosing the right setup among so many options can be overwhelming, but Fred Amiri made it simple. He customized a brilliant solution for us, integrating new solar and an EV charger with a 15kW inverter, 40kW battery, and gateway. Fred’s knowledge is top-tier, and the entire experience with Energy Gate was fantastic. Highly recommended for any serious residential energy project!

I looked into the market to find a good battery system and more importantly a great installer to give me a peace of mind for this investment. After some time, i came across Energy gate and upon my conversations with them to find the most suitable system for my needs, their expertise and experience became clear to me and that was paramount to me and then signed the contract with them. The system was installed beautifully and neatly. Running perfectly since then. Fred is great to deal with, don’t go past EnergyGate.

These guys are a truly excellent team. After requesting a solar battery, I was fortunate enough to have the installation completed within just two weeks. Once the battery was installed, Fred provided thorough care, offering detailed explanations about the product and important points to keep in mind. I discovered them through great reviews on Facebook, and I am extremely satisfied. I am currently considering a solar installation for my commercial shop as well, and if I go ahead with it, I would definitely like to get a quote from Fred again. Thank you!

I contacted Fred earlier on in my battery hunting process and he was prompt and fair with his quoting and didn’t push when we weren’t ready. When we finally were, he was able to do a very quick turnaround from deposit to install and had same day commissioning. Quality install at a great price. Exactly what we wanted

Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions, answered

Discover Our Solutions

Do you service my area?

We service Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich and parts of the Sunshine Coast, essentially anywhere within about an hour of us. Staying local is deliberate. It means we arrive on time, install carefully, and can get back to you quickly if you ever need support. If you are unsure, just ask.

Will solar actually save me money in South East Queensland?

Yes, provided the system is sized to your usage and you shift some consumption into daylight. Every kilowatt-hour you generate and use yourself is one you are not buying at retail rates. Because export credits in SEQ are modest, the biggest savings come from self-consumption: running the pool pump, dishwasher and air conditioner while the sun is up.

Should I get solar and battery together, or solar first?

Together is often the tidiest and most cost-effective approach, because the system is designed as one and you avoid a second visit and connection process. It is not the only path. Many people start with solar and add a battery later, which works well if the system is designed to be battery-ready. Fred lays out both options honestly so you can choose what suits your budget and timing.

What rebates can I get, and do I have to claim them myself?

Two federal incentives apply. Rooftop solar earns small-scale technology certificates (STCs), and home batteries earn a separate discount under the Cheaper Home Batteries Program. Both come off your quoted price upfront, and both step down each year toward 2030. You do not apply for anything. As an accredited installer we handle the certificate paperwork and take the value straight off your price.

Will my battery keep the power on in a blackout?

Only if it is set up for backup, which is a distinction many sellers gloss over. A standard battery lowers your bills but, by law, must shut down during a grid outage for safety. To keep power flowing in a blackout, the system needs backup capability wired to the circuits you want protected. We make that clear up front and design it properly if you want it.

Will I need a switchboard upgrade?

Not always. If your switchboard is modern, has spare capacity and proper safety switches, we can usually just add the new protected circuit. An upgrade is needed where the board is full, outdated or non-compliant. We never recommend one you do not need, and we will not skip one that safety or the rules require.

Why are your prices lower than some other companies?

Because of how we run the business, not because we cut corners. We keep overheads lean and grow through referrals rather than expensive advertising and commissioned sales teams, and those costs get added to the customer’s price everywhere else. Same premium brands, same standards, and a genuine 5-year written workmanship warranty behind the work.
