Can I add a battery later, or do I have to do it now?

You can add one later. Plenty of customers start with solar and add storage when it suits their budget. There are two ways to do it: add a battery with its own inverter alongside your existing solar, which is called an AC-coupled retrofit, or replace the inverter with a hybrid one that runs both the panels and the battery. Which suits you depends on your inverter. Tell us a battery is on your horizon and we will design this system to be battery-ready from the start, reserving the wall space and allowing for the cabling, so adding storage later is straightforward rather than a rebuild.

Is 6.6kW big enough for my place, or should I go bigger?

6.6kW suits a 3 to 4 bedroom home with 2 to 4 people and a quarterly bill around $400 to $700. If your bill is over $800, or you have a pool and ducted air-conditioning, or an EV now or planned, 10kW will serve you better. We do not employ commissioned salespeople, so nobody here earns more by selling you a bigger system than you need. Fred sizes it to your actual usage and will say so if the smaller one is the right call.

How much is it going to cost me all up — no hidden extras?

The price above covers a standard single-storey, single-phase install in South East Queensland, with the federal STC rebate already applied at point of sale, so there is no paperwork for you and nothing to claim back later. Your written quote itemises everything, and shows the rebate as a separate line so you can see exactly what it knocks off, rather than a vague “after rebate” headline hiding the workings. If your roof or switchboard needs anything extra, we find it at the free site assessment and put it in the quote before you commit.

Fred, the business owner, was prompt to reply and gave good advice and a very competitive price for a premium Goodwe 15kw inverter and 16.6kw battery stack. I was initially hesitant, but after checking the company out online and finding only glowing  reviews I decided to give them a go.
