  These guys are a truly excellent team. After requesting a solar battery, I was fortunate enough to have the installation completed within just two weeks. Once the battery was installed, Fred provided thorough care, offering detailed explanations about the product and important points to keep in mind. I discovered them through great reviews on Facebook, and I am extremely satisfied.   I found Energy Gate's advertisement for Goodwe battery installs whilst scrolling Facebook Marketplace and decided to contact them for a quote. Fred, the business owner, was prompt to reply and gave good advice and a very competitive price for a premium Goodwe 15kw inverter and 16.6kw battery stack. I was initially hesitant, but after checking the company out online and finding only glowing  reviews I decided to give them a go. Fred, the owner of this local business, is a qualified solar installer and electrical engineer. Instead of dealing with a sales person from a large business, I could directly address all my concerns with the actual installer who also supplies backup service if necessary. I can honestly say that Fred explained everything patiently in easy to understand language and set the system up perfectly. It looks good and works well. Is the consultation really no-pressure?

Yes. Because we do not run commissioned sales, there is no incentive to pressure you into a bigger system or a rushed decision. Fred gives you honest advice and a clear quote, and you decide in your own time. We would rather earn a referral than push a sale.

What happens if something goes wrong after installation?

You contact us, and we sort it out — quickly. Where it relates to our work, it is covered by our 5-year written warranty and we aim to resolve it within about a week. Because we install premium brands with proper Australian support, any product warranty claims are handled smoothly too, and we manage that process for you.

How is your 5-year warranty different from a '25-year warranty'?

A genuine workmanship warranty covers the quality of the installation and is honoured promptly — ours is written plainly into your contract for five years. Some headline ’25-year’ warranties are generic marketing wrapped in fine print and exclusions that rarely deliver when you need them. We would rather promise five real years we always stand behind than a long number that means little.

How do I know your installation quality is good?

Look at our work. We post many of our real installations publicly on our social media, so you can see the standard for yourself rather than take our word for it. We also hold genuine 5-star reviews from customers across South East Queensland. Our whole business relies on that quality being real, because referrals are how we grow.

Will I deal with a salesperson or an actual installer?

You deal with Fred, who is the electrician and accredited installer who designs your system — or Sama, who looks after customer contact. You will not be handed to a commissioned salesperson worried about their cut of your job. Your advice comes from someone with real experience of what actually performs and lasts.

Does a lower price mean lower quality?

No — our quality is genuinely good, and in many cases better than companies advertising themselves as premium. The savings are in our business model, not the materials or workmanship. We only use premium, well-known products and our own trained team, and we post many real installs publicly so you can judge the quality for yourself.

Why are your prices lower than some other companies?

Our lower prices come from how we run the business, not from cutting corners. We have trimmed our overheads as much as possible and grow through word of mouth and referrals rather than expensive advertising campaigns and armies of sales reps. Every one of those marketing costs and middle-men gets added to the customer’s price elsewhere — we have stripped them out so we can offer better prices for the same or better quality.
